Make A Wish 2026

One of the most special moments for our Aurum team was seeing JJ welcoming  his Make-A-Wish guest into the salon for a truly unforgettable day.
JJ had the absolute privilege of spending the day with an incredible young man whose dream was to become a barber so together, that’s exactly what they did.

From hands-on learning and barbering education to plenty of laughs and great conversations, the day was filled with excitement, confidence, and genuine connection. Watching him step into the barbering world with such passion and enthusiasm was something really special for JJ to be part of.
To finish the day, everyone sat down to enjoy a beautiful lunch generously donated by our amazing friends at Alto, making the experience even more memorable.

Ria & Kodas Angel Tree 2025

Our Angel Tree was filled with love, generosity, and gifts for local children and whānau needing

a little extra support over the festive season. We reached out to parents and caregivers in our

community, and with the help of our incredible clients, friends, and supporters, each child was

lovingly “adopted” by a secret angel.

Each angel was given only a few details the child’s age, gender, and clothing or shoe size

before setting out to spoil them with thoughtful gifts and surprises. Alongside the donations

from our community, we also filled Santa sacks to the brim with goodies to help make Christmas

morning extra magical.

Thanks to the kindness of so many amazing people, we were able to donate gifts to more than

30 children, bringing smiles, excitement, and a little Christmas magic to families in our

community.

We were even lucky enough to share the story live on Breakfast with Ria, Koda, and Sam Olley

a beautiful moment that helped spread even more joy and awareness for this special cause.

Georgia & Kororia's Pink Ribbon Breakfast 2025

A special morning filled with connection, generosity, laughter, and an overwhelming amount of

support from our local community. Guests enjoyed a beautiful breakfast spread while coming

together for an important cause, with raffles, prizes, and donations helping us raise over $2,000

for breast cancer research and support services.

This event would not have been possible without the kindness of so many amazing local

businesses who generously donated products, experiences, vouchers, and prizes. We are so

grateful for the support from Alto Cafe, Casa Valencia, Better Drinks, His & Hers

Catering,Woolworths, Jade Brett MUA, Georgia Gray Hairdresser, Lush, MF Detailing, Clarity

Windows, Spout and  Doubt, Dunedin Casino, An Idyllic Event, Reading Cinema, Emersons, Hot

Yoga Dunedin, Royal

Albatross Centre, Orokonui Ecosanctuary, The Dessert Room, Cobb & Co, Amigos, Escape Room

Dunedin, The Makers Lounge, Sugar Boom, Hazur Kebabs and Anytime Fitness.

Seeing so many businesses and people come together to support women and families affected

by breast cancer was truly inspiring.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated,

contributed raffle prizes, and helped make the morning such a success.

Together, we created something incredibly meaningful, and we are so proud to have played a

small part in supporting this important cause.

At Aurum, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. That’s

why we proudly support KidsCan through monthly donations since 2017
.

KidsCan works with schools and early childhood centres across New Zealand to provide

essential items such as food, jackets, shoes, and health products to children affected by poverty

helping ensure no child misses out on education because they are cold, hungry, or without the

basics they need.

We’re incredibly proud to support this amazing charity and the life-changing work they do for

Kiwi kids every day
.

If you’re able to, we encourage you to support KidsCan too.
